8:06 pm	Synthetic Wig Instead of never showing up for my next appointment, I went there and I let her do my natural hair one last time. I explained that it was rather ridiculous for me to have two different hair stylists and I needed to go with the other one because she took care of all of my hair care needs. She was very understanding and said that she knew this would happen, but she could not change the way she felt about working on a synthetic wig. None Of My Friends Like Synthetic Wigs While I was out to lunch with three of my friends, I found out that each of them had a bad experience with a synthetic wig and they each said that they would never buy one again. The first one to tell about her mishap with a synthetic wig was Jenn. I could tell that she was having difficulties fitting it on my head right. She finally took the synthetic wig off my head and compared it to another wig of the same size. It was then that we both saw that mine was shaped very differently than the one she had. She said that she had heard of this happening before, but she had never seen one herself. She said that I should send it back for a full refund or exchange and let the company know that it was misshapen. Maintenance For Synthetic Wigs Even though a synthetic wig is one of the most inexpensive choices you can make for changing your hairstyle, you should still make sure that you invest some time and money into keeping it in prime condition. 10:17 pm	Synthetic Wigs There are a lot of people that I know who love to wear a synthetic wig for various reasons, but no matter how hard they try to convince me, I refuse to wear a synthetic wig ever again. I did try it one day last year, but I found the synthetic wig very uncomfortable. I felt like I was wearing a winter hat and it was causing my head to sweat beneath it. I do not know if it was the sweat or just the material that was used to make the synthetic wig, but it made my scalp very itchy. I tried to ignore it and make it through the rest of my college classes but it got to the point that it felt like my head was burning and I could not stand it anymore. I decided that I had to leave right after lunch in order to get home and take off the synthetic wig to find out what was going on with my head. When I got home and looked in the mirror I could see that my scalp looked very red and irritated. I took a shower to wash my hair, but the shampoo was stinging really bad and I was almost in tears by the time I was finished. The next morning, my scalp was still itchy and red all over where the synthetic wig had been in contact with it. There were even some inflamed bumps along my hair line. I made an appointment with my doctor to find out what was going on. She told me that I had an allergic reaction to the material that was used to make the wig and she gave me some medicine to help treat my irritated scalp. She also told me that the reaction could be a lot worse the next time. My Experience Buying A Synthetic Wig I could not wear my favorite synthetic wig because it was finally showing too much wear and needed to be replaced. I wanted to purchase a replacement synthetic wig through the great online store where I usually shopped, but the brand and style that I wanted was out of stock on that web site. A friend of mine told me about the new web site and said that the first three hundred customers to order from them would receive various free supplies for wig care. It was close to the time that I would need to get a new synthetic wig, so I immediately got on the web site and ordered the same style that I normally get from a different source. When I got to the check out page, I had a choice of products that I could add for free. I chose to get a new brush that is meant for use on synthetic fibers because mine was wearing out. There were also a variety of other products being offered at great discounted prices. Since my synthetic wig was not going to cost me very much money, I decided to get several different products from the discounted list, too. I did end up spending close to fifty dollars, but with the special shampoo, conditioner, and other products, I know that my synthetic wig is going to stay looking nice for much longer and I will not need to spend money to replace it any time soon. I really liked the synthetic wig and all of the wig care products that I got with it. However, I am not sure if I am going to order another synthetic wig from the new web site or not. They are quite comparable in price to the place where I usually shop for wigs, but they do not seem to have as wide a selection as my original supplier. Many of their color choices were out of stock, but I am not sure if that is because people already ordered from the minimal supply they had or if they just had not stocked those colors because they were not sure if there was enough demand. If the hair fibers of your synthetic wig tend to bunch up at the nape of your neck they will become tangled very easily. A hair stylist can adjust the length or simply thin that area a little to alleviate the problem. They are both types of thin filaments made of plastic that is manufactured to look similar to human hair. They are produced by different companies and a synthetic wig made from Toyokalon hair fibers will usually cost a bit less than a similar style of synthetic wig that is made from Kanekalon hair fibers. Both the Kanekalon and Toyokalon wigs cost much less than a human hair wig which makes them easily accessible to people with all types of budgets. The Toyokalon synthetic wig tends to have a softer feel and it tangles less, but the fiber structure is not as strong and it might need to be replaced sooner. In addition, it does not usually look as natural as the one made of Kanekalon hair fibers. It is possible to purchase a synthetic wig made of Kanekalon hair fibers that have been treated with steam in order to soften them and make them flow more like real hair. However, when I bought a new synthetic wig and took it in to have her customize it, I found out that she did not offer this service. I was totally taken off guard because I had never considered the possibility that she would not customize a synthetic wig the same way as my previous hair stylist. I tried to convince her to do it, but she refused. I was rather upset that she would not do it, but she insisted that she had a good reason. I waited to hear her explanation, but she refused to share it because it involved a previous client and she did not want to embarrass anyone. Instead, she gave me the number of a different hair stylist that she knew would help me by customizing my synthetic wig. I took my synthetic wig to the other hair stylist and she did a great job on it. Now, I had a hair stylist for my natural hair and a separate hair stylist that would customize a synthetic wig for me. Unfortunately, I had to part with the first one because she could not fulfill all of my hair care needs. 11:10 pm	Synthetic Hair I wanted to purchase a replacement synthetic wig through the great online store where I usually shopped, but the brand and style that I wanted was out of stock on that web site. I did not have the time to wait for them to restock because I wanted to wear a synthetic wig to a party that I was going to that weekend. I decided that my only option was to go to a local beauty supply store to find and purchase my favorite synthetic wig. I had heard that the local beauty supply store carried that brand of synthetic wig and I even called to be sure that they had the exact same model that I usually bought. However, that shopping trip was the worst one that I ever experienced. When I arrived there, I did not see a single employee. I figured that they were probably in the back room putting away stock or doing some other work related task. I waited several minutes before I finally called out to see if I could get someone’s assistance in finding a synthetic wig. A gruff looking woman came from the back room and rudely asked why I was yelling in the store. I explained that I was there to purchase a synthetic wig and would like some help finding the correct model because I was unfamiliar with their store. She simply pointed at the far wall and told me that I should look there for my synthetic wig and then she walked back into the back room. I searched for my favorite wig, but could not even find anything by that manufacturer. When I called for help again, the same woman came out and said she was the only one there and she was on her break. She said that it would be about fifteen minutes before she was finished and I should wait quietly until her return. Instead of waiting quietly for her return, I left and never went back. I did a search on my GPS and found a different beauty supply store that was more willing to help a customer. I also made sure that I told my friends not to shop at that first store because of the way that I had been treated. Of course, choosing the right style is the most important thing to do because you have to start with something that is compatible to the shape of your face and the tone of your skin. Then the hair stylist did something even more interesting. She made the synthetic wig wet and ran her fingers through the hair fibers before setting it on a wig stand and blow drying it. I could not believe that the curls stayed in. That was something that I could not even do with my human hair wigs. They always needed to be restyled after I washed them. The hair stylist said that the curls would remain after several washes. She went on to straightening half of a curly synthetic wig with a heated straightening iron and that side of the wig looked as if it had never been curled. By the time that the event was over, I think that everyone was convinced that this type of synthetic wig was the best thing that they had ever seen on the market. We were all ready to order a synthetic wig and begin enjoying the combination of the best features of the human hair wig and the regular synthetic wig blended together into one product. We Needed A Cheap Synthetic Wig Most of the time, I do not want to buy a synthetic wig because they are not as versatile as wigs that are made from human hair fibers. However, last year I had a reason to purchase a synthetic wig for my daughter. She was playing the part of a disheveled woman in the school play and there was no way that her natural hair would look right for the part. I did not want anyone to attempt anything with her natural hair because I did not want it damaged. When I talked to the drama teacher, he told me that they did not have an appropriate wig for her part and the budget cuts made it barely possible to cover the sets and clothing the students would wear. I suggested that I supply her with a wig that could be messed up and altered to fit the part.
